Step-by-Step Process
Phase 1
JAMB Registration
Obtain JAMB scratch card from any accredited bank or vendor
Create a profile on JAMB's e-Facility portal at jamb.gov.ng
Register your NIN (National Identification Number) - required
Upload a recent passport photograph (white background, formal dress)
Fill in your personal details and select FUOYE as first choice
Choose your course of study carefully - changing it later is difficult
Select your subjects (must match your intended course requirements)
Book your exam date and CBT centre closest to you
Pay the JAMB exam fee (approximately ₦5,500–₦7,000)
Phase 2
JAMB Exam & Results
Print your JAMB exam slip and verify your CBT centre address
Arrive at the exam centre at least 1 hour before your scheduled time
Bring your exam slip and a valid ID card to the exam hall
Take the CBT exam — 4 subjects including Use of English
Check your JAMB result via the JAMB portal within 1–2 days
A score of 160+ is the general FUOYE cut-off; competitive courses need 200+
Print your JAMB result and keep multiple copies safe
Phase 3
FUOYE Screening (UTME + O'Level + Sittings)
Monitor the FUOYE official website (fuoye.edu.ng) for screening announcements
Register for FUOYE screening when applications open (usually June–August)
Pay the screening fee and complete the online application form
Upload your O'Level result(s) — best 5 credits in relevant subjects
Indicate whether you used 1 sitting (10 pts) or 2 sittings (6 pts) for O'Level
FUOYE computes your aggregate: UTME ÷ 400 × 60, plus O'Level credits, plus sittings = score out of 100
Check your aggregate on the FUOYE admission portal — and on CAPS
Accept your admission on the JAMB CAPS portal when offered
Phase 4
FUOYE Clearance & Registration
Visit FUOYE campus for physical clearance — bring all original documents
Pay your acceptance fee on the FUOYE portal before clearance
Documents needed: JAMB result slip, WAEC/NECO certificate and scratch card, JAMB admission letter, birth certificate, state of origin certificate, passport photos
Collect your student ID card after successful clearance
Register for your courses on the departmental level and online portal
Find accommodation near campus (use our AI finder above!)
Attend orientation week — it is compulsory for fresh students
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Not checking FUOYE's specific course requirements before selecting subjects
Missing FUOYE screening registration deadlines — lists close fast
Forgetting to accept admission on the JAMB CAPS portal
Coming for clearance without original documents — photocopies alone won't work
Not bringing enough passport photographs (bring at least 10)
Arriving on campus without pre-arranged accommodation
Ignoring departmental registration after the general clearance
Missing orientation week — some departments take attendance seriously
